This is the story behind Shyanne. Like stated earlier in Jessica's Bio I was dating a lady from Coshocton "Patty" that had Boston Terriers and I had help raise one of her pups that I nick named Patty Duke before she sold her and Patty and myself sometime later that summer parted ways (but remained friends). After having already bought Jessica and doing a lot of reading about Boston Terrier's and seeing her parents. I knew Jessica was going to be a medium size Boston (between (15) Fifteen to (20) Twenty Pounds). After helping raise Patty Duke and knowing her parents Buster and Brigette very well and seeing their small size and knowing that they were (10 Ten to 15 Fifteen pounds) Boston's. I was attracted to smaller size Boston's. One day soon after I got Jessica. Patty and I was chatting on line. It had been a while since we talked. She informed me that Brigette her female had a litter on March 18, 2003. And at that time they were about (3) Three weeks old. Well I informed her I wanted one. We agreed on a price and set the wheels in motion to for me to buy one of her new puppies. A few days later I went to her house to look at the pup. It was very pretty and small. Her colors and marking was a cross between her Father Buster and her earlier sibling that I had helped raise Patty Duke.

Well time marched on and the pup was about (6) Six weeks old. I kept trying to get a hold of Patty to make arrangements to get the new puppy, but I couldn't reach her. I left repeated messages with her boys and kept looking for her on line. But it was to no avail. About (1) One week later we finally connect on line. She said she was going to take the pup to the vet that weekend to get it's shots, but she didn't have the papers back from A.K.C. yet. but if I wanted the pup after she took it to the vet I could get it and she would get me the papers when they came in. Well after giving it some thought. I decided that I would get it if she would accept half down and balance when the papers arrived. She stated for reason's I won't go into that she needed the money up front. After knowing more about Boston's and becoming very clear about A.K.C. and the way they reject applications. I thought for a while and decided I couldn't do that. Not because I didn't trust her. Because I didn't trust A.K.C. and what if for unforeseen reason A.K.C. didn't register the pups. Then I would have been stuck with a Pure Bread Boston that I couldn't do anything with. So I told her that I would wait until the papers came in. Well a few weeks had passed and we had talked via e-mail and still no papers. I was getting very discouraged and wanted the pup a.s.a.p. I didn't want Jessica getting so use to being the only pup that when I finally got another one she would be aggressive or be the alpha dog so to speak. I had chances to buy other puppies but wanted to wait for Patty's pup because of the size. I was to the point I started thinking it was a good thing I didn't get one of Patty's because A.K.C. wasn't going to send litter papers. So I started looking at other puppies and was on a waiting list with a lady from Toledo that had a litter form small Boston's. Suddenly Patty e-mailed me stating that A.K.C. had sent her a letter stating that she had to re-submit the litter application because she had signed the wrong name. She had signed her new married last name and not her previous last name. So the waiting game started all over again. Then finally on Thursday June 12, 2003 Patty e-mail me and told me that the papers had finally arrived. Later that same day we chatted on line and I made arrangements to pick up my new female Boston Terrier from Patty that I was originally going to name Daisy Duke the next day. I also notified the lady from Toledo to drop me off her list. So finally after about (2) Two Months of waiting. On June 13, 2003 I went to Patty's and picked up my new puppy and my Second Female Boston. Which I later named Shyanne Dakota. After my grandchildren. Shyanne after my granddaughter and Dakota after my grandson. Is was very trying waiting on Shyanne, but I'm glad I did. Here is Shyanne Dakota at exactly (6) Months old.
